Virtual Visits
Tendo Marketplace can list virtual procedures on our consumer, employer, and provider websites.
- They are named as a virtual procedure and labeled as “video visit”.
- An address is not listed, but the provider’s address appears on the offer page. This is required for the virtual procedure to appear in search results.
- Virtual procedures are at the top of search results for a procedure in the state where the provider is licensed.
Before Tendo Marketplace can create and take a virtual procedure live, we need to know:
- How patients will schedule their virtual procedure.
- The visit name
- Specialty
- Procedure details
- Price details
- Services included in the price
- Whether the virtual procedure is a counterpart to an existing in-person procedure. If so, the in-person procedure is considered the primary procedure, and the virtual visit the secondary procedure. The virtual procedure will be added to the non-virtual procedure pages, and the name of the secondary procedure will be a keyword in searches for the primary procedure.
Separate offer pages will continue to exist for the in-person and virtual procedures.
User Experience
Here’s an example of a provider who offers both an in-person and video visit. You can select the one you want and then click Add to Cart.

Integrations and Scheduling
The way that patients access virtual visits that they purchase on the Tendo Marketplace varies by provider. Some providers may follow the same process they use for in-person visits, while other providers may use Tendo Marketplace to reach out to patients via an email that contains links so that the patient can access their virtual care.
