Setup and Maintenance for Providers
Implementation
Once your contract with Tendo Marketplace is signed, our implementation team and account manager will work with these members of your team to set up and help you use Tendo Marketplace:
- Your Project Champion
- IT Contact
- Users of Tendo Marketplace
An implementation specialist will work with you to add the following to our system:
- Your company details, including the name, company, and address information.
- Banking information and W-9 so you can receive payments from Tendo. We will send you a link where you can upload this information and your primary contact.
- Claims enrollment. We recommend setting the payer code to enable claims to be sent to Tendo Marketplace.
- Your Electronic Health Record (EHR). We will provide specific setup guidance for integration with Tendo Marketplace.
A list of physicians for each of your facilities, including their name, speciality, photo, email, and other relevant details for their bio.
Procedures that your providers perform.
Ancillary providers, such as anesthesia, radiology, pathology, etc. that are involved in a patient’s care.
Pricing for those procedures for each provider involved in the patient’s care.
Your users who need access to our system. This includes:
- General staff users who help patients pre-register and register and who will help patients purchase Tendo Marketplace vouchers to pay for their procedures.
- Patient billing or patient accounting staff who will receive and reconcile payments from Tendo.
- Administrators who will view dashboards and reports about sales as well as detailed voucher payment information.
- We will work with your ancillary providers to set up access for their patient billing/accounting teams as well.
Our implementation specialist will work with your project champion to align the procedures, ancillary services, and pricing between Tendo Marketplace and your organization and test the system to make sure it is working as expected.
Tendo will train your patient-facing staff to assist patients with purchasing vouchers, redeeming vouchers for procedures that have been performed, ensuring that payments are processed correctly and applied to the correct patient accounts, and sending claims to Tendo Marketplace.
Our technical specialists will work with your IT team to configure Single Sign-On (SSO), enabling your users to access Tendo Marketplace (MDsave) directly from your EHR or through your identity provider.
We also can optionally connect to your EHR to get patient demographic data so your staff can avoid repeat data entry.
Claims 837 Enrollment and 835 ERAs from Tendo Marketplace
Your organization can save time by implementing automated voucher redemption through claims and/or 835 ERAs. This allows Tendo Marketplace to receive claims from providers and send electronic remittance advice (ERA) to providers. The process is similar to the typical workflow used for insurance companies and other payers.
The benefits are easier posting of payments, decreased time spent redeeming vouchers, decreased unpostable payments, decreased unredemptions/recoups, decreased time to reconcile payments because the staff is no longer manually entering individual payments, and fewer errors.
See Enrolling in Provider Claims and/or ERA Process
- Your organization as a provider will set up a payer code.
- Tendo Marketplace will set up your organization to send 837 claims, and to receive ERAs from Tendo Marketplace.
- Your provider staff will send claims to Tendo Marketplace, and redeem vouchers either manually or through claims.
- Tendo Marketplace will pay your organization and send you an electronic reconciliation file.
- Tendo Marketplace will pay you via an Automated Clearinghouse (ACH) deposit with a trace number on the Tuesday or Tuesday/Thursday after the voucher was redeemed depending on the providers’ payment method.
- Tendo Marketplace will send the file to your through your preferred delivery method. For 835 ERAs, the trace number is included in the file to allow automated matching between the 835 ERA and the ACH deposit.
Maintenance
Once implementation is complete, our implementation team will transition your organization either to one of our dedicated Account Managers or to our Support team.
